The Biochemistry Department offers a two-year Master of Science (MS) degree. The program combines classroom and research experiences to prepare students for employment or further study. This strong program is located in the School of Medicine at CWRU, which is ranked #1 in Ohio and #24 in the US (US News and World Report 2019 rankings).
The Biochemistry M.S. curriculum is flexible and allows students to choose electives according to their interests. Our M.S. students can take new experimental and professional biotechnology courses, and can choose courses to complete an Experimental Biotechnology track within our M.S. program.
Entering students should have completed an undergraduate degree in biochemistry, biology, chemistry, or a related science, with a solid background in mathematics, chemistry, physics and biology.
Prospective students should submit a completed MS application online, along with three letters of recommendation, transcript(s) of undergraduate and graduate work, GRE scores, and official TOEFL scores if they are required.
