The one-year, STEM-designated Master of Science-Business: Supply Chain Management provides expert training to guide cross-functional business processes. Today’s global business environment requires integration of analytics tools, information systems, manufacturers, suppliers, inventory management and distribution to seamlessly meet customer demand. Employers seek individuals with expertise in supply chain management to create efficiencies, raise profits, lower costs, and boost collaboration.
This comprehensive master’s in supply chain management covers topics relevant to supply chain management, including operations, marketing, analytics/information management, and risk management. Prerequisite:
1. Applicants must demonstrate knowledge of business fundamentals, completed or expected completion, by start of program. Coursework can be completed at any accredited university or college.
Applicants may fulfill this requirement in one of the following ways:
(1)Undergraduate degree with business major or minor
(2)A Certificate in Business
(3)A minimum 3.0 GPA in intermediate college coursework covering at least two of these business disciplines:
Marketing
Operations
Finance
Accounting
Management
(4)General Business 310 or 311 at UW-Madison. Applicants may complete these courses online during fall, spring, or summer as a special student.
(5)At least one year of full-time work experience in one of the business disciplines mentioned above
Admission Requirements:
1. Bachelor’s degree completed or expected completion by start of the program
2. Standardized test scores:
GMAT or GRE test scores;
TOEFL or IELTS test scores; Applicants whose native language is not English or whose undergraduate instruction was not in English must complete either the Internet-based (100 or higher) TOEFL; Results of the IELTS (International English Language Testing System) or PTE (Pearson Test of English, institution code: NML-ZH-25) will also be accepted. An IELTS minimum score of 7.5 or higher, or a PTE Internet-based score of 73 or higher or paper-based score of 80 or higher, are required.
