The QBS Masters of Science degree in Health Data Science provides training in Data Wrangling, Exploratory Data Analysis, Statistical Modelling, Machine Learning and Data Visualization. Graduates will receive interdisciplinary training for careers in Industry, Biomedical Research, Government Agencies and Nonprofit Health Organizations.
It is expected that all applicants will have taken 3 of 5 of the following:
1 course in calculus
1 course in statistics or equivalent experience
1 course in programming or equivalent experience
1 course in multivariable calculus
1 course in linear algebra
If accepted into the Health Data Science Program, it is expected that students will gain experience in all 5 admissions requirements prior to matriculation.
Test Scores and GPAs
Below are what the QBS program considers to be competitive requirements for test scores and GPA, however the entire application is evaluated even if numbers fall below those listed.
Total GRE scores of 308 (153 verbal & 155 quantitative.) Analytical writing of 4 or over.
TOEFL scores of 450 or above for paper-based exam, internet-based exam scores of 90 or above
GPA of 3.0 or above (Grade Point Average). International students should include class ranking instead of GPA.
IELTS scores of 7.0 or higher (international students) – accepted in place of TOEFL score.
